When it comes to weight loss - become the biggest loser.

Have you taken a look at the show “The Biggest Loser?” There are some wonderful fitness trainers on this television program.

“The Biggest Loser” is a television show that focuses on fitness trainers helping individuals that are well over a hundred pounds overweight. However, the great thing about this show is that it reminds of us of the hidden potential inside of us. A potential you may have forgotten about.

Let’s do a little mental exercise :) right now. Use that ability to imagine, fantisize if you will, what a healthy fit body will do for you. Apart from just looking good for others, what other benefits of health come to the surface? Notice how in this state of mind, you have natural feelings already ingrained inside of you for your own personal GENUINE HEALTH.

That’s what True Weight Loss is about - not trying to drastically restrict our diets to fit in a size zero designer jeans, or taking pills that dramitically throw off our homeostasis to become wafer thin like the models we see on television and magazines. You’re not here to impress everyone else! Do it for yourself and genuine happiness will abound.

Ya, sure, vanity has a play in losing weight, but the ultimate by-product of authentic genunine health and weight loss is simply that you get your life back! Especially if you’re climbing up in years. Don’t you want to run around with your children or grandchildren, instead of just sitting on the porch because you’re out of breath after 5 minutes of playing with them?

It’s not totally your fault though. Our society has put so much emphasis on what we watch on television.

Sure, you may be able to attain that idealism, but at what costs? Your genuine health?

But for now, let’s take the examples of the contestants on “The Biggest Loser” show and the great fitness trainers that help these individuals and remember that by focusing on genuine health, weight loss will follow, NATURALLY.

If there’s one thing we can learn from the contestants in the show, is that we all have the ability to reach our goals as long as we put the proper focus and determination into reaching our goals.

So right now, allow the flow of that inspired action to come forth. A flow you were already born with!

    Hi Matt! A very thought provoking post! You are right. There is no point in looking good at the expense of feeling fit. It is more important to feel fit and be healthy rather than just look good. The Biggest Loser Show is both about looking good and feeling healthy. In the process of gaining good health, you lose weight. As you said it is not just about losing weight but also about a fit and healthy body. Crash diets can help you lose weight but don’t lead to a healthy body. So let us all focus on staying healthy rather than losing weight. All the extra pounds will melt away once the focus is on a naturally healthy body. Thanks for the great post!!

    Hi Matt!! you just hit the right nerve! looking good and feeling fit are just two sides of the same coin. Unless you feel fit, you just cannot look good. May be u can go on a crash diet, lose some pounds and think that you are looking good but it cannot last for long. It has to be naturally, a part of your lifestyle. Thanks a lot for making me think it over!!
