There isn’t a single person who drives that does not have automobile insurance. I suppose there could be a few exceptions but generally if you get caught driving without insurance you’re going to be a lot of trouble. Most states, like the one I live in, Oregon, requires that you have insurance on your vehicle at all times you can’t even register your vehicle without car insurance.

If you lease or finance a new or used automobile, you have to have full coverage on the car or truck. However, those that own a car or truck outright can choose what they want, and some go with liability insurance only. Choosing liability insurance is usually pretty cheap, but it’s not always a good idea.

Any car insurance coverage that you select should have liability insurance. This is used when you are responsible for an accident or any damage to car or even life.

This is the bare minimum that you can get when you buy. Without this, you would have to pay for all types of damage right out of your own pocket. If you have the liability insurance, your insurance company has to pay, though you may have a deductible that you must pay on your own. It really depends on your policy and your insurance company.

If it is your determination to just acquire liability insurance, your insurance company won’t be obliged to give you any money to get your vehicle fixed if somebody else does the damage. They should, by rights, have liability insurance as well, and that money will come from their insurance company.you never know what will happen on the road as some individuals do drive without insurance. if a person driving without insurance got into an accident with you would be out of luck getting any money out of them.

You can sue them, of course, but if they don’t have enough money to buy the liability insurance, they in all probability will never pay any judgment against them.

It is always wise to have full coverage insurance on any vehicle, but there are times when this is too pricey. Lots of times kids just starting out life, have this bare minimum coverage, but they also don’t have a vehicle that’s worth very much. As they get older though, and can afford a more expensive and reliable car, it is wise for them to have more than just liability insurance. As with home and life insurance, it is always good to keep in mind the unknown and to realize you never know what will happen.

Get the most insurance coverage you can for yourself and you won’t regret it if you ever need it.
