With its Integrated Cleaning System that features both hardware and software solutions, it can deliver clean images. The system ensures the sensor is free of dust and debris by reducing the dust that can destroy images. It is the first digital EOS SLR camera that was designed with this important feature.

The hardware and software solutions included in the Integrated Cleaning System are the Self Cleaning Sensor Unit and the Dust Delete Data Detection. The Self Cleaning Sensor automatically removes dust that adheres to the image sensor by using ultrasonic vibrations. The Dust Delete Data Detection is a software that erases dust spots. This software is included in the Digital Photo Professional (DPP) Version 2.2.

Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi digital SLR camera is fully compatible with over 60 EF and EF-S Lenses. These lenses were designed with advanced optical features to deliver exceptional photographic performance. Examples of these advanced features are the Aspherical optics and fluorite elements. Some lenses feature Canon’s Image Stabilizer technology, which minimizes the effect of camera shake.

Also featuring is the E-TTL II flash metering system, which provides reliable flash output through several exposures. The camera perfectly suits Canon’s Speedlite 430EX that includes a maximum guide number of 141 ft./43m at ISO 100. Also featured is the AF-assist Beam that automatically sends color temperature information to the camera when the flash fires. It also provides more accurate white balance.

Aside from the EF lenses and Speedlite flashes, Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi digital SLR camera is also compatible with other accessories. Among these accessories is the Battery Grip BG-E3 as well as the Semi Hard Case EH18-L. The battery grip adds a vertical shutter release, and can hold two NB-2LH Battery Packs. Canon’s Semi Hard Case EH18-L can accommodate the camera and a small zoom lens.

The camera comes with the updated Canon EOS Digital Solution Disk (Version 13.0), which contains powerful system programs. And these powerful system programs were designed to perfect captured images and streamline the digital workflow. The Digital Photo Professional (Version 2.2) is an image processing program that allows for easy image layout and printing. It enables high-speed RAW image processing and previewing for real-time image adjustment.

Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi digital SLR camera allows remote controlled shooting from a computer as well as file transfer and linking. This application, the EOS Utility (Version 1.1), handles the connection between the camera and computer. The ZoomBrowser EX (Version 5.7) or ImageBrowser (Version 5.7) enables viewing and editing of JPEG and even RAW image files. It also offers several printing options without having to use a separate image-editing program.
