Have you heard of the song Auld Lang Syne? If you know it, then it’s easy and fast to learn to play it on the piano. This song is a great way to learn the piano notes, which is one of the first steps in learning to play the piano.
Study your piano keyboard and take a look at the black keys. Auld Land Syne can be played on the black keys alone with five distinct notes.
Some say that piano notes are difficult to learn. But expert piano players say that if only you put your heart to it, you can learn all the notes quickly.
Whether you have a piano teacher who is guiding you, or whether you learned to play the piano on your own with the help of a CD, DVD, or book, you need to learn the letter names of both the white and black notes on the piano.
If you want to learn all the notes, you should have your own piano. If you don’t have one at home, then you should start shopping for one. You can’t learn the notes by simply imagining a piano. You have to touch the piano keys and know the sound of the notes. This will make learning a lot easier and faster.
You will also need to use visualization techniques to imagine the location of the keys while you learn the notes. You will need to memorize the notes in order to be able to read the Grand Staff, which is like a map of all the piano notes. Knowing how to identify piano notes immediately will help you more easily understand the chord lessons.
For instance, you’re playing the first seven tab notes. This is the C – major scale and you’re playing the notes CDEFGAB.
Sometimes, the most important things about a particular topic aren’t very obvious. Continue reading to get a better understanding.
As you complete your lessons, you’ll learn about other scales as well, and the notes that comprise them. To play the piano well, you must memorize all of the piano keys, but you’ll learn the easiest notes first, of course.
After you’ve got a handle on the easy notes, you’ll progress to more difficult ones. Be aware that you need to continually practice the notes that you have already learned, since you’ll use all of these when playing more challenging pieces.
If you really just want to play basic music on your piano, then at a minimum, you must learn at least two different keys for each scale. Let’s say you’re playing a major C chord.
The notes in this chord are C, E, and G. By playing these three notes at the same time, you’re playing a simple chord that can be used to create music. But, if you want to read advanced pieces, you must practice and learn each note from memory. It won’t be long before you play like a pro.
So, you must understand that learning each piano note is no joke. It’s a tough task, and an important exercise in memorization. Visualize the piano keys in your head to memorize the note of each key.
Take a couple of minutes each day to do this. Don’t stop until you have memorized all of the piano notes. Hold on to the mental picture of the piano in your mind, since that can help you down the road.
Begin to memorize the piano notes in the early days of your piano lessons so that you can learn chords faster and easier. It’s great fun to play the piano, but you will need to have patience.
So, that wasn’t terribly difficult was it? And, now you have all of the information you need, simply by hearing an expert’s perspective on playing piano.
